Dear children! God sent me among you out of love that I may lead you towards the way of salvation. Many of you opened your hearts and accepted my messages, but many have become lost on this way and have never come to know the God of love with the fullness of heart. Therefore, I call you to be love and light where there is darkness and sin. I am with you and bless you all. Thank you for having responded to my call. October 25, 2007
In this month’s message Our Lady once again urges us to persevere on the path to holiness. She invites us to continue to make room in our hearts to receive and accept her messages and not let our hearts become waylaid or filled by the daily distractions and concerns of life.
She calls us to be an example of love and light to others who live in darkness and sin. She echoes the words of Jesus in Matthew’s Gospel (5 : 14-16)
You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on a lamp-stand where it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine in the sight of men, so that, seeing your good works, they may give the praise to your Father in heaven.
Our Lady’s words are also a reminder of the words spoken by Jesus in John’s Gospel (8 : 12)
I am the light of the world; anyone who follows me will not be walking in the dark; he will have the light of life.
Our Lady is responding to God’s request to lead us along the way to Jesus and to salvation. We are also urged to respond and by doing so can lead others, especially our families, if we allow our hearts to remain open and to receive the love and the light that Jesus offers to all.
I can’t help but think of the Holy Souls in purgatory when I read this message. November is the month of the Holy Souls. What else are the Holy Souls if not those who became lost on the way and never came to know the God of love with the fullness of heart while they were on earth?
